Every year, the most active SMA members with the most points take a free trip to Washington, D.C. There, we learn about the political arena from experienced politicians and attend receptions with the Legislators MSU Alumni.

On our most recent trips, members have had the opportunity to meet such notables as the late U.S. Congressmen Sonny Montgomery, Senators Thad Cochran and Trent Lott of Mississippi, Senator Hillary Clinton of New York, Senator Joe Liberman of Connecticut, Senator John McCain of Arizona, Senator George Allen of Viginia, and several House of Representatives members.
